WA pres. 1 sg. seke, pres. 2 sg. sekis, pres. 3 sg. sekis, pres. pl. seke, pres. 2 sg. subj. seke, imp. pl. seke, pres. ptcp. sekand

'seek, proceed, move, attack, etc.' (Modern English seek)

Etymology

Continuing OE sēcan 'search for, enquire, ask for, look for' < the PGmc wk. v. *sōkjan-, cp. Go sokjan 'seek, quest', OIcel sœkja 'seek, visit, advance, catch', OFris sēka 'seek', OS sōkian, OHG suohhen. ON input could help explain the generalization of /k/ from OE pres. 3 sg. sēcþ throughout the present tense of the v. in ME next to forms preserving native palatalized variant (thus MED, OED), but is not necessary.
